Department — KVH @ 10:21 am, Thursday, April 28th, 2011

Take a break from finals, and come help us sort type at Globe Poster next week!

Printmaking and Graphic Design are looking for a few people to sort type the week of finals. If you have a window of opportunity, or want to schedule a well-deserved break, check out the GoogleDoc here.

Available times are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with two shifts per day: 10-1 and 1-4.

We need help, so please sign up. Please also, only sign up if you can actually do it. No need to hold someone off the list because of your indecisiveness.

Here’s Bob Cicero talking about locking-up a forme.

See you then!

The end of semester is nigh

Department — KVH @ 11:21 am, Thursday, April 14th, 2011

EDIT: Please note – the last day for BUILDING ACCESS will be the
LAST DAY OF CLASSES, May 6. (all-caps = serious.)

I know it’s hard to believe, but the end of the semester is coming up really fast!

This summer, the Printmaking Department is going through some major changes, and they start with us almost immediately after classes end. As such, we are giving you as early a warning as we can.

New ventilation is being installed through the entire first floor. This is awesome, but we’re going to need your cooperation on this.

This summer ALL DRAWERS will need to be cleaned out at the end of the semester. This is all drawers, on all floors, all buildings, bookarts, 3rd floor, everywhere.

Until then, let the Talking Heads circa 1984 carry you out.
