Amos Kennedy is coming!

Department — KVH @ 3:06 pm, Monday, April 1st, 2013

Detroit-based printer, and founder of the forthcoming Detroit Printing Plant, Amos Kennedy will be visiting the Printmaking Department this week. There are many events scheduled within classes and departments around MICA, but there are two notable public events.

First is a screening of the documentary Proceed and Be Bold, by Laura Zinger (about Amos Kennedy), including a Q&A. This will be Thursday, April 4th evening at 7:30PM in the Studio Center Auditorium, Room 115. The event is free, but seating may be limited. Posters from Kennedy Prints, will be available for purchase after the film.

The second event is a Letterpress Open Studio on Saturday, April 6th, 1:30PM – 4PM. The preses will be inky, and Amos, along with the Globe Interns, will be in production mode making posters.

Both of these are open to any student from any department. Don’t miss this great opportunity to meet Amos!
