Lesley Dill is looking for a part time studio assistant.  Someone who works especially well with computers and organization, and also can work in the studio .

It is a part time position, Wednesday, Thursday, Fridays 10-5 . Paying 11$ an hour as a 1099. The studio is in Brooklyn Heights.

Lesley Dill is a MICA Alumna and Studio Artist working in Brooklyn NY. Her work is in collections nationally and internationally. Dolphin Press & Print collaborated with Lesley Dill and the Drachen Foundation in Fall of 2005 on the Healing Man kite.

If a Dolphin Press internship interests you, but you are saving your application for the spring semester, you can apply now for a spring internship. The deadline for early spring applications is next Friday, the 25th of September at 5:00pm. You will still be able to apply for a spring internship at the beginning of next semester, but be aware that positions may already be filled by that time.

If you missed the deadline for fall applications you can still apply, because we will be accepting applications for fall internships along with early spring applications. Same deadline applies. Dolphin Press & Print is a unique collaborative print studio that is designed to bring visual artists and writers together to work with students, producing limited-edition letterpressed books, broadsides and editioned prints in a variety of print media.

The Dolphin Press Internship Program provides MICA students with curricula-based professional development skills and allows students to interact with one another and with the Visiting Artist Programming connected with the press.

Working collaboratively with peers and seasoned professional printers, solving complex problems and administering business and marketing duties at the press are the primary focus of this internship.

The internship program is administered by Co Directors Whitney Sherman, Chair of the Illustration Department and Gail Deery, Chair of the Printmaking Department at MICA.

Interns will report weekly to the Dolphin Press Coordinator and the Paper Studio Coordinator.

Applications are now being accepted for the Fall 2009 Semester. Four positions are available. Each student will receive three credits and is expected to work 8 hours per week.

Firstly, the Jon Rappleye prints that were in production all fall and spring, until this past weekend, are premiering in Jon’s current show at the Jeff Bailey Gallery this week.  The opening was last night, but the show is up for a month.

Additionally, our very own May Yang had a print selected for the IPCNY New Prints 2009 exhibition (curated by Polly Apfelbaum!) which also opened this weekend.
