Only a handful of seats are remaining on the bus. The sign-up sheet is located in the front entry-way display case.

If you sign up for the bus but fail to take the trip, your student accounts will be charged $35. We are not doing this to be cruel, but rather to force you to consider your scheduling and availability, and remind you that these seats are in demand. There will be a wait-list for the trip.

If the sign-up-sheet is full, please e-mail printmaking@mica.edu, and you will be wait-listed in the order you are received.

This will be an all day trip, on Friday, March 26th, and faculty from the department will rendezvous with you at various locations in the city.

Please consider your schedule carefully before you sign up.
This is the first friday after Spring Break.

Hello all -
I’m sure by now you’ve received an e-mail about campus closing for the weekend:

Inclement Weather Update:
For Friday, February 05, 2010:
All classes at MICA are cancelled beginning at noon today and will resume on Monday morning, February 08, 2010. Liberal leave is in effect for staff beginning at noon. Essential employees should report to work as scheduled. There will be no shuttle services tonight. Shuttles will resume when weather conditions allow, and will be posted.

Buildings are closed beginning at 5:00 pm this afternoon through Monday, February 08, at 8 a.m., with the exception of residence halls, which will remain open. Café Doris, Java Corner, and the MICA Bookstore (College Store) will close today at 2:00 p.m.

Dining Services at the Meyerhoff House will continue throughout the weekend as regularly scheduled. Limited services are available in the Gateway Café throughout the weekend.

Only essential employees should report to work during this weather event.

BBOX will reopen for the Super Bowl party on Sunday.

Updates will be posted as necessary.

-MICA, Office of Communications

This is out of my control and if they choose to lock the building for the weekend then they will.

Updates will be posted here and I will do my best to keep the micaprintmaking.com site updated as well.

click through for >>>

SO – -

There’s always the chance that they won’t lock (deadbolt) the building.

There’s the chance that you can just mosey down here and let yourself in.

There’s the chance that no one actually cares if you’re here for the weekend, as long as you’re responsible about it.

Right? *wink wink*.
(Cross your fingers.)
Have an nice weekend!

Tuesday, February 9th he, along with Eve Laramee, will be critiquing a selection of Printmaking Majors in Dolphin, beginning at 2 PM.

Students are encouraged to attend and join in the discussion in these critiques. And even if you do not have anything to contribute, you will be in the presence of two excellent critics. Rest assured these will be very exciting.

Critiques will run from 2PM until about 5PM, beginning in Silkscreen and finishing in the 3rd Floor Computer Room. Please attend, even if you can only attend part of the event.

THEN:

Jose Roca is lecturing on Wednesday at 12:30 PM in Brown 320.
This is a mandatory lecture for all Printmaking Majors and Concentrators.

This is an Art at Lunch event. Please contact the faculty for your Wednesday classes and tell them you will be late returning from lunch because of this lecture. He will be speaking on his role organizing Philagrafika, which kicked off last week.

This is the ideal start to the 3-month long Philagrafika festival, and a perfect primer for all of you to attend the Philly festivities!

You have no reason to miss this, we’ll see you there!
